So Grn,
How's the K-trc in the slush?
The bodywork does look a lot cleaner than on the older models; how do those 'hidden' fasteners work? R they a pain to remove or re-attach? I see you have cleaned up the rear end and so must have some indiction of the ease of access, right?
Tnx,
Paul

So smooth, hard to explain to someone that has not ridden the new 14R.... It is going to feel like a different bike with new exhaust... Trust me

"How's the K-trc in the slush?"......No slush..too cold for that.Didn't run into any ice either...stayed on the main hwy.Ktrc...had er set on 1.Didn't see it kick in once. But then,I wasn't railing either!
"The bodywork does look a lot cleaner than on the older models; how do those 'hidden' fasteners work? R they a pain to remove or re-attach? I see you have cleaned up the rear end and so must have some indiction of the ease of access, right?"....I haven't removed the side covers yet...to replace the battery with my Shorai...didn't want to snap anything or whatever. The manual shows 3 screws, but I think there may be some particular procedure for actually getting it out of there..besides"slide cover backwards"I looked on zx14.com,wheelie's post about cover removal...it was a tad confusing...I did remove the 3 screws...tried to lift the cover out off of the projections in there...she didn't want to budge...so I stopped.
Lots of good room all around the swingarm and wheels and such.Very nice and easy to get to for maint.and cleaning.

Nice Grn! Can't imagine ridin' in 20 degree temps~~ I cry because it has been in the 40's here for most of the time that I have been home and I hadn't ridden that much - on the way back to the A'stan tomorrow for another 3 month stint - be back in Mar or may stretch until April to ensure enough cash to pick up the new bird IF all continues as planned... so far so good!!!!

It's not really that bad...for the first hour anyway!I only had my jacket balaclava for my neck this time...normally I'd have my heated gear on.I'm afraid to pop that right side midcover(the foreman) off there so I can change the battery and get my pigtail on there. It's very cold here and I don't want anything to snap by forcing it.There is a trick to gettin it off there.Different than the foreman's on the other 14's.
You be careful over there...you'll be back soon and ready to roll!Prayin for ya Big...always.
